About Us

The AWM is a Christian ministry that started in 1996 in Kigali , the capital city of Rwanda, with a vision God gave in 1992 for an end time revival movement that will reach every corner of the world, to "Prepare the Bride of Christ for His imminent return." (Amos 4:12)

In August 1999, under the leadership of Apostle Paul Gitwaza, the ministry opened the doors of its first Zion Temple Celebration Center in Kigali, Rwanda. Six years later, Zion Temple Church has grown to be the largest church in Rwanda with a membership of 15000. The ministry has also expanded to other parts of the world, and is now present on three continents: Africa (Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Tanzania), Europe (Belgium, Denmark, France, UK) and America (USA).

Zion Temple Celebration Center is the spiritual arm of the Authentic Word Ministries with a Vision to become a resting place for God (Psa 132:13-14)
“Zion Temple, God’s dwelling place”

Our Mission:

Connect the Person with God and his or her Destiny.

Our Vision for Revival is structured around a three-fold strategy:
1. The restoration of the Altar of Prayer (1 Kings 18:30)
2. The rebuilding of the Tabernacle of David (Acts 15:16)
3. The recovery of the priesthood of the believer (Rev 5:10)

Authentic Business Enterprise is a market place arm of the Authentic Word Ministries with a vision to establish the divine order in the marketplace in this generation.

Our Vision for Economic Development is structured around the establishment of three-key redeeming institutions:
1. The Authentic Kingdom University to redeem Knowledge and Techology
2. The Authentic Cultural Center to redeem the Culture
3. The Authentic Kingdom Bank to redeem the Economy

Graduation Ceremony Announcement
Grace Umuhire, September 4, 2007

On August 26th, the last day of our Conference « Africa wake up Europe » (August 22nd-26th, 2007), we were glad to host a graduation ceremony of International Graduate School of Ministry (IGSM), here at Zion Temple Celebration Center in Brussels. IGSM is School designed by Pastors for Pastors and Ministry Leaders. It is located in Bellevue, Washington, USA but has several extension site locations all over the world. Its mission is to equip 21st Century Pastors and Ministry Leaders for practical Church-related ministry in order to significantly impact the communities they serve for Jesus Christ.

The ceremony started with the procession of the graduating students and the dignitaries as the audience was watching and standing. It was presided over by Apostle Raymond Vandeput, from A-Net, Brussels.

Apostle Paul Gitwaza and Bishop Bienvenue Kukimunu

Bishop Bienvenu addressed a note of welcome. He commented that after about 3 years and half of labor, the day of graduation was finally there, an undeserved grace if it had not been by the Blood of Jesus. Then, Pastor Cleophas, from CEPAC, Rotterdam, was invited to pray so that we may begin in the presence of God. Then, Her Excellency Jeanine K. Zimulinda, 1st Counselor of the Rwanda Embassy, addressed a word of congratulation to the graduating students, saying that this was a great reward after a hard work. And she urged the Church to keep on praying for them so that they would be able to do the task for which they have been graduated for.

Afterward, M.P and Deputy Mayor Bertin Mampaka made a speech through which he reminded us that it was the Church’s responsibility to pray for the leaders because when they are affected, so is the whole Body of Christ. He also said that it was a great honor to be invited to such a beautiful ceremony and to be led in faith by such brilliant men of God.

Next, came the graduation ceremony. Professor Rev. Dr. Chandrakumar, the International Vice President of IGSM, briefly introduced the School and the kind of work they were doing, aiming to give an adequate balance between anointing and Theology to ministers. As Pastor Shola, a ZTCC Pastor and a Prosecutor in The Hague, was handing the degree to the students, Professor Chandrakumar would graduate them. Seven students were graduated:

  • Past. Jacques Ngoy Ilunga, who fulfilled all requirements for Second Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry (B. Min Degree),
  • Past. Jean Paul Valois, who fulfilled all requirements for Second Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry (B. Min Degree),
  • Mr. Francis Pascal Chali, who also fulfilled all requirements for Master in Theological Studies and has submitted a thesis on « Being an Ambassador for Christ ». At the same time, he also received the Bachelor Degree that he had completed earlier,
  • Rev Rachel B. Van Oers, who has submitted a Master in Theological Studies thesis on « Arise Deborah- Women in Leadership »,
  • Rev Huyun Khan Minh, who has submitted his D.Min (Doctor of Ministry) dissertation on « Market Place Ministry ». However, he was not at the ceremony as responsibilities called him back to Vietnam,
  • Apostle Paul Muhirwa Gitwaza, who has submitted his D.Min. (Doctor of Ministry) dissertation on « Humanity in Distress, Need of True Witnesses » and whose leadership really impressed Prof Chandrakumar during his trip to Rwanda,
  • Bishop Bienvenu Kukimunu, who has also submitted his D. Min. (Doctor of Ministry) dissertation on « La Vision et la Mission ». Talking about our Bishop, the Professor said that he was one of his greatest students in the world. He also shared with us an old prophesy about Bishop Bienvenu, that he was not a missionary but a visionary who will transmit the vision to the others and who will send them out to mission, just as Nehemiah did.

Then, Apostle Dr. Gitwaza went forward to speak on the behalf of the graduated students. He expressed his gratefulness for such a day. After a hard work, they now have got the degrees. And these were like keys to open many doors. When a servant of God had the anointing and a diploma, he also had access to a higher platform. Some years ago, he went to Australia, to a gathering where most of the people had titles and degrees. Apostle’s teachings were appreciated but comments were made about his training. But thank God, that now, with this D. Min. Degree, such barriers will be removed. He went on telling us how wonderful a School IGSM was. A convenient way of learning was provided: they could study at home and continue to minister to their flocks at the same time, without having to leave. Finally, he expressed their gratitude towards IGSM, promising Prof Chandrakumar that they will always be a source of rejoicing, worthy of the kind of teachers and training they have got.

After that, Rev. Rachel B. Van Oers, as one of IGSM Coordinators for Brussels, rose to give a vote of thanks. She thanked the Lord for He is good and His goodness endures forever. Then she thanked the dignitaries on the behalf of IGSM, for taking part in this event and remembering that this was all about the Great Commission. They will always be there to pray and support them. She also thanked the Church leaders, who were with them at work in the fields, the families and the brethrens, who made all this possible. Lastly, she thanked Zion Temple for hosting the ceremony.

At last, Pastor Bonheur, a servant of God from Holland, made the closing prayer. And Apostle Vandeput asked to have the Belgian anthem played as a reminder that we needed to intercede for Belgium at this particular moment (the politics have not been able to agree these past 3 ½ months, so the nation has no Government to this day).

Dealing with obstacles on our way to intimacy with the Lord, a teaching by Pastor Francine Uwindatwa.
By Marcellin Mutuyimana.

Pastor Francine Uwindatwa has recently shared with us a powerful insight on the familiar story of Zacchaeus the chief tax collector, a wealthy man who was renown for his extortion and unrighteousness (Luke 19:1-10). Though he was a sinner, he had a longing to see Jesus. This is truly our story. Although we see people living sinful lifestyles, many have a longing to see Jesus. Many, just like Zacchaeus, undertake a journey to behold Jesus for salvation. However he faced two major difficulties that each one of us have to overcome daily.

The first obstacle was a great multitude of crowd surrounding Jesus. Zacchaeus had to find a way to separate himself from the crowd and move ahead so that he would see Jesus. Likewise, as Pastor Francine explained, we must leave behind the crowds and all things that surround us and prevent us from beholding Jesus. These are external pressures, environmental conditions that weight on us. They could be our friends, or daily activities that take much of our efforts and leave us with no time or energy to seek the Lord. These are the things, though not necessarily evil, must be shaken off our shoulders so that we may draw nearer to Him.

The second obstacle was that Zacchaeus was short. Pastor Francine explained that this signifies our innate shortage or the inadequacy of our nature. We all naturally have all kinds of shortages. Just like Zacchaeus, we are "short" in one way or another. Short in love, short in compassion, we all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). This lameness of our carnal nature can only be solved by climbing the tree just like Zacchaeus. This tree is of course the cross. This is where our nature is dealt with.

After dealing with these two obstacles, Zacchaeus was then able to meet Jesus, who told him, "Come down because I must go to your house." Pastor Francine explained to us that there are things that we do, and Jesus gets in a situation where He must do something, where he is obliged to move on our behalf. Zacchaeus and his house received salvation and he decided to restore back everything he had stolen. We are called to facilitate people to draw near Jesus. Because when they meet Him they will never remain the same. Just like Zacchaeus.

The Tabernacle of David has been erected in ZTCC-Kigali
By Marcellin Mutuyimana

The Tabernacle of David has been erected in ZTCC-Kigali, Rwanda according to the promise of Act 15:16. This tabernacle operates on a 24/7 basis and has a mandate of ministering before the throne of God day and night. Raising up the Tabernacle of David is a Holy Spirit move that in a global context will usher in the presence of God as His continual habitation with mankind rather that just a temporal visitation as we have seen during revival movements of the past. In this place of prayer and intimacy with the Lord, petitions will be made unto Him, there will be thanks offerings, praise and worship and prophetic decrees and utterances, which are all distinctives of the Tabernacle of David.

New naming for day for the 2008 Calender
By Marcellin Mutuyimana

During the 777 conference in ZTCC-Kigali the days of the week have been renamed according to the Kingdom culture. The names of the days of the week as we normally know them derive from a pagan world view and were named after demon gods that they had a tradition of worshiping.

Sunday, which was a day dedicated for the worship of the Sun, is now called Transfiguration Day.
Monday, which was a day dedicated for the worship of the Moon, is now called Glory Day.
Tuesday, which was a day dedicated for the worship of planet Mars, is now called Blessings Day.
Wednesday, which was a day dedicated for the worship of planet Mercury, is now New Song Day.
Thursday, which was a day dedicated for the worship of planet Jupiter, is now called Silence Day.
Friday, which was a day dedicated for the worship of planet Venus, is now Jericho Day.
Saturday, which was a day dedicated for the worship of planet Saturn, is now Covenant Day.

Let us lay hold of the blessings of each day and live to the fullest in sight of the Lord’s grace.

Prophetic words are released, divine revelations are given, Holy Spirit impartation takes place and many people get to receive the gift of salvation in Jesus.
